WIRELESS CHARGING IN THE NEWS
Compared to traditional charging methods, AGVs use wireless charging technology to break through physical limitations and achieve more efficient energy management. Its core advantages are reflected in the following aspects:
1. Improve job continuity
Traditional AGVs need to return to the charging station plug and unplug interface regularly, and a single charge takes about 30 minutes to 2 hours. The wireless charging supports "stop and charge", and the AGV can be replenished in the fragmented time such as loading and unloading and waiting for instructions. The measured data of an automobile factory show that the effective working time of AGV after wireless charging is increased by 18% and the production capacity is increased by 12%.
2. Reduce operation and maintenance costs
The plug and pull parts of contact chargers are prone to failure due to mechanical wear, and the annual maintenance cost exceeds 5% of the value of the equipment. The wireless charging system has no physical contact point and can last more than 100,000 hours. At the same time, the intelligent charge management system can monitor the health status of the battery in real time, dynamically adjust the power, and extend the battery life by about 30%.
3. Enhance scenario adaptability
In the cold chain warehouse, the AGV can be stably charged at -25℃; In the electronics manufacturing workshop, electromagnetic shielding technology for wireless charging can avoid interference with precision instruments. In addition, multi-AGV co-charging technology allows a single base station to serve multiple devices, increasing charging efficiency by more than 50%. A logistics company has reduced the size of its AGV fleet from 50 units to 42 units by deploying a wireless charging network, while still maintaining the same capacity.
