WIRELESS CHARGING IN THE NEWS
Shenzhen Metro has achieved the world's first autonomous test of robot metro delivery. On July 14th, a logistics robot equipped with an AI system completed a full-process unmanned delivery verification at the Wanxia Station of Shenzhen Metro Line 2 during the off-peak hours of the train.
This polar tern-shaped robot can independently plan routes, take the subway and enter and exit platforms, precisely delivering goods to convenience stores at subway stations. The innovative model directly addresses the pain points of traditional ground delivery, such as "difficult parking and high costs", and utilizes the idle capacity of rail transit to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Technological breakthrough
- Intelligent dispatching center: Real-time optimization of multi-robot collaborative delivery routes
- LiDAR Navigation: Centimeter-level in-station positioning and environmental modeling
- Autonomous mobility system: Enables complex operations such as elevator transfer and train recognition
It is estimated that 41 robots can meet the peak season delivery demands of all convenience stores along the Shenzhen Metro. This technology will significantly enhance the utilization rate of rail transit resources and open up a brand-new path for smart urban logistics.
This breakthrough highlights Shenzhen's leading position in the field of robot application. In 2025, the local area will release a three-year plan for embodied intelligent robots and promote open testing in all scenarios. This innovation is the first to deeply integrate rail transit with unmanned delivery, providing a reusable technical paradigm for global urban logistics. With the continuous optimization of the system, this model is expected to become an important component of the infrastructure of future smart cities.
